I use Pixlr X for very basic editing like removing a background, cropping or resizing images and for creating new images. It also has very good filters to add to images.
Then, there is Pixlr E which is a bit more robust and a simplified version of Adobe Photoshop. Here you have a lot more tools, filters and
I have used both of these versions for quite some time and they have become my "go to" editors.
